My journey and inspiration

My name is Ron Dickerson Jr, and I currently serve as a head football coach at an HBCU while completing my MSM degree in sport management. My career has been built on leadership, mentorship, and helping student-athletes grow both academically and personally.

My professional philosophy: The V.I.S.I.O.N. approach

My philosophy is built on my V.I.S.I.O.N. approach: visualize, internalize, strategize, initiate, overcome, and necessity. I believe sport management should be intentional, organized, and centered on student-athlete success. My role is to create structure, provide resources, and lead with accountability.

Building competitive and sustainable programs

I believe successful athletic departments are built on strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to adapt. I aim to contribute by building programs that are not only competitive but sustainable and impactful within the community.
